Ford Winnertz

1961 - 1973

Ford Winnertz was raised on a farm near Swartwater, adjacent to the Limpopo River. His primary school years were spent at Laerskool Unitas in Swartwater from 1961 to 1967.

He began his secondary education at Hoërskool Piet Potgieter in 1968, where he completed his matriculation in 1972. In 1973, Mr. Winnertz fulfilled his mandatory military service, serving from May to November 1973 in the Engineer Corps on the border at Rundu.

1979 - 1982

Following his service, he pursued his legal studies at the University of Pretoria, where he earned his B Proc law degree. He commenced his career as a clerk at Borman, Snyman & Barnard on the 2nd of January 1979. Mr. Winnertz was admitted as an attorney in March 1981 and became a junior partner at Borman, Snyman & Barnard on the 1st of March 1982.

1983 - 2022

Throughout his career, Mr. Winnertz has practiced across various fields of law. For the past approximately 30 years, he has specialized in estate planning, wills, estate administration, general commercial law, High Court litigation, liquidations, insolvencies, and High Court recoveries.

2023 Onwards

He currently serves as a practicing attorney and consultant for Borman, Snyman & Barnard Inc., operating from Grootbrak River in the Southern Cape.

 In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Winnertz is passionate about the outdoors. He enjoys cycling for exercise, is an avid hunter, and has a keen interest in shooting and firearms.
