He began his career at the Department of Justice, serving for five years. During this tenure, he worked as a State Prosecutor for three years and as a Magistrate for two years. Concurrently, he completed his LLB degree part-time at UNISA, which was conferred upon him in 1987.<\/p>\n

In 1987 and 1988, Hennie Smit served as a Candidate Attorney and was admitted as an Attorney on the 21st of February 1989.<\/p>\n
